Welcome to the Mandarin Chinese class! This course introduces Chinese language and culture to students from 9th to 12th grade, and includes level 1, 2, 3, and AP courses. The content of the courses includes Pinyin, basic grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills needed to begin a longer-term study of the Chinese language.

As your teacher, I will use developmentally, linguistically, and culturally appropriate learning activities, instructional materials, and resources for all students, including the full range of English learners and students who have different needs. Class activities are conducted in a variety of ways such as role-play, presentation, group or pair practice, drawing, coloring, film-making, reading aloud, and writing activities. Resources and materials used in class include but not limited to Google Classroom, Google Slides, Internet resources, films and videos, Kahoot, and songs and poems.
